Pros
I worked at this location for over 2 years. These are some of the best people you'll ever meet. They're fun and like to have office gatherings at the local bars in town (sometimes company paid!). The managers do a great job of piercing through the boredom by doing random fun things like making everyone waffles. They really encourage people to bring up new ideas on how to catch fraud. They give out performance based bonuses and really help you plan around a vacation or if you're sick. Best part, they have a ping pong table you can use when the queue is slow.
Cons
The work is a bit tedious. It's based on a queue system, so the work never really stops. You review transactions all day following relatively the same pattern for every one on the level I job. The level II job revolves around doing daily tasks to review SQL results to scan for fraud and for creating your own work by thinking of ideas of what to do next, which is great if you work well in an unstructured environment (which I do not unfortunately). There's not a whole lot of chances for advancement, as there are only 3 or 4 positions one can get (Level I, Level II, Lead, Manager). All of the operations department is in Montreal, so you can't move around very much. Also, the 401k doesn't match anything, but it's available.
