Pros

Probably good for the inexperienced or recent college grads that don't have the benefit of perspective at this point in their careers.

Cons

There are several regional offices, but the Southeast office in Greenville has horribly deteriorated. There is no leadership taking place at any level. I worked there for 14 years up until 2022. While there were several good years, the years post-2017 were a clinic in ineffective management and poor to non-existent leadership. Applications engineering is forward-facing, customer oriented position in sales. Anyone with experience will tell you that the most important order you ever get from a customer is the SECOND order. In the period after 2017, after the 6th or 7th customer, following a large bid, directly said to the sales team that they have no confidence in FlexLink's ability to execute a project and deliver satisfactory results for a repeat order, it is a very difficult thing to hear. But the part that's far worse, is that it simply didn't bother the Leadership team whatsoever; in fact, it was completely shrugged off by them. I recall the comment "guys, there are some orders we just don't want anyway.." Well, if you don't want the business, don't bother going through the motions of proposing to provide a solution!! Again, it's a statement about the complete mediocrity of the organization and the leadership in place there. Management at the Greenville office wants to coast; and wants to be surrounded by people that want to coast. I would add to this review that compensation at FlexLink significantly lags behind their counterparts in the Industrial Automation sector.

Pros

The company is fine for beginners, but it’s not a place where you can grow.

Cons

Don’t expect to grow with this company. They don’t value education or professional development, and many employees end up doing labor‑heavy work instead of real engineering. Management lacks diversity, and several leaders have no formal education or technical background. I stayed longer than I should have, even though I had better opportunities available. Don’t be afraid to change jobs when you realize you’re not learning or growing. Some managers contribute very little, take credit for your work, and simply exist in the background without adding value.
