Toxic Management and Work Environment - Retail Outfitter Fleet Feet Employee Review

Pros

Good discount on most products in the store

Cons

To put it simply: don't work here. They don't pay you any commission (unlike other stores in the industry) but despite this, they still hold you to loft sales expectations and have a monthly meeting over your sales numbers. This oftentimes includes a manager telling you to force a product on a customer that doesn't need or want it. Also, the management (at least in my store) has gone consistently downhill since I began working there, they fired their best assistant manager and outfitters and replaced them with yes-men. The new managers are also very hypocritical and arrogant, they will yell at you for being on your phone or sitting down when they are no customers in the store despite them doing the exact same thing. Overall, just don't work here, they don't pay what you're worth and management is very toxic.

Pros

Good discount, energetic and kind staff

Cons

Training needs to be streamlined; digital operations is fragmented for such a future/tech-forward company. management/full time workers seem stressed. No office space for any kind of deep work for marketing, operations, and management roles. Im sure I would cherish my work from home days if I were in a higher up role
