Pros

It really is hard to say a "Pros" about these guys, but I'll try to be nice. They have a cute little office with nice desks and meeting space.

Cons

The "Cons" are much easier because this company is nothing more than a con job to everyone involved. Investors and customers BEWARE. The CEO will sell you a pretty cool concept but the company can't back it up. The backbone of their service is the "Fixt Technician" who is in fact an independent contractor or in most cases an employee or owner of another repair company in your city or town. So why use a middle man? They ask you to prepay for service by establishing very loose nit contract. Why not use an established warranty company? They act like they invented this type service. But there are numerous, well established companies already in this space. Nothing to see here friends, just smoke and mirrors.

First, I would like to apologize for my tardy reply. I want to thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We do indeed have a cool concept, now running on more than 73,027 devices within NYPD, Applied Materials, Home Depot and many others. Enterprise companies don't use warranty providers. Nonetheless, I am really sorry that your experience at Fixt did not match our intention of being the best place you have ever worked. We are taking your feedback and addressing all the places we missed in delivering a great experience for you. I'll admit that sometimes we can become too focused on the execution of our goals. Our culture is friendly and intense, but we are also a young company and the stakes are high. So when push comes to shove we must settle for intense. We're ok with that. Also, you're right. There are others pursuing this problem (a fact you knew before you joined us). Competition is a great thing and our investors agree. If there was no competition the benefit of our service would be severely diminished. That's the fun of working on a platform, i.e., middle man app. You get to shield the customer from all the pain of working directly with a vendor. Nonetheless, there are many ideas we have for improving company operations, and we will continue to push forward on those. If you would like to share more about your experience please contact us by emailing hrhelp@fixt.co so that we can set up a time to talk. Thank you.

Pros

Dev team is pretty sharp overall. New office is nice.

Cons

Where to start... at the top I suppose since all of the senior staff have left, including the co-founder. The CEO thinks he is the smartest guy in the room and even had me questioning things I knew were true. Here he is in a nutshell - some of the team enjoyed playing chess around the office (games are good at a startup, yea?). Well the CEO gets involved and then does nothing but brag about how good he is and how he beats everyone. This startup is all all about hype. It's buzz to biz ratio is heavy on the buzz and light on the biz, this despite the CEO's claims who talks a big game to clients but nothing works the way he says it does. This is supposed to be an "On-Demand" company but repairs are often pushed off for days. Then they send out "techs" that don't know what they are doing and who often cause more damage to the customers device. Many of the techs demand payment before they will go to a job because they know they might not get paid. Fact or Fiction 1) On Demand - FICTION 2) App Senses Damage - FICTION 3) 100% Zip Code Coverage - FICTION 4) "Easiest and most secure way to get your device repaired" - FICTION 5) "We average under 20 minutes to get the device back to new" - FICTION 6) Founded in 2013 and still not generating much revenue - FACT

Hi there, I'm terribly sorry hear you feel this way. We want our employees to be happy working here. If you feel management did not communicate its objectives properly, or that a commitment that was made to you was broken, please reach out to our People Operations team directly at people@fixt.co to discuss how we can make this better. And here's a bit of good news, we are rapidly approaching our 20th employee, with 6 more positions to fill next month. A lot of that growth is being driven by new revenue from some of the new logos you see on our homepage (www.fixt.co). Companies like Pacific Life, First Energy, and Select Medical. We're also proud to now support all 36,000 phones for the NYPD under a 2 year agreement. So our revenues, technology, and growth is very real. I hope you'll still refer great people to us after we get this sorted out :) All the best.
