Pros

Flexibility - home working (prior to COVID) Great colleagues - approachable and personable directors, supportive teams and amazing support functions such as HR, accounts and HSQE. Wide variety of projects - working across several sectors provides opportunity to gain experience in numerous areas 5R values it staff and appreciates individuals skill sets Development - provides opportunities to learn new skills and enhance existing ones

Cons

Workload - can be overwhelming during the busiest periods (but teaches you the importance of prioritisation and asking for support). Due to the rapid growth it can be difficult to keep up with all the changes in processes etc. which are being overhauled to meet the demands of growth.

Pros

Inclusive, progressive, relaxed culture. The ecology team exude genuine passion, enthusiasm and knowledge for/of the natural environment and all share the ultimate goal of enhancing, restoring and protecting it to the best of their ability. They are a really awesome group of people to work with. The variety of the work is also a massive pro, different projects one week to the next. One week you'll be conducting fish surveys on a beautiful chalk stream, the next you could be doing a water vole survey or seine netting a huge lake!

Cons

The main one would have to be the large amount of driving/travelling we have to do different sites/projects. We operate across the country but are based in the south, this can result in a lot of very early starts/late finishes with a lot of driving in between. We also stay away a lot which is nice when it's all confirmed/booked in advance with due time to prepare, but due to the fluidity of the work, things can change at the drop of a hat and you may be suddenly staying away for a week on very short notice.
