Pros
The benefits packages (compensation, bonus, 401k, health care, etc.) are competitive and seem to fall toward the mid-to-upper end of the market. People are generally very intelligent and have a good technical knowledge base. I have seen a number of people transition into new roles, which allows them to advance or diversify their career.
Cons
The industry is highly competitive and has seen its share of ups-and-downs. The described cycle always seems to result in layoffs and the loss of good talent.
