Pros

-Autonomy to do whatever you need to achieve growth. Heavy downsides of a misaligned leadership team, and minimal support to do your role. -Beers on Friday, free lunch.

Cons

-Remuneration not competitive -Distribution of benefits is heavily biased -Not many perks -Poor promotion paths -Weak people and culture focus -Delusion of 'start up culture', they won't tell you to go home or have a balanced life. Taking breaks are frowned upon, they're timing you and won't do as much work.

Thank you for your review, I really appreciate your time spent on this. I'm really proud of the autonomy we provide the crew and given that we're growing rapidly, I’m happy to see you call this out as it’s something we aim to have for every crew member. The Publishing & Editorial team has grown to be one of the largest teams within Finder. As a result, in early 2017 we developed a career levelling doc all the way from an intern through to Head of Publishing & Editorial. Often the problem with internal documents is ensuring everyone is aware of them and that they’re actively followed. We also have an annual training budget so the crew can really master their craft and progress in their chosen field. But it sounds like we’ve still got some work to do in this area to make sure everybody has a clear promotion path – it’s an area I'm passionate about with the goal of aiming for a perfect overlap between personal career goals and business goals. In terms of culture, you’re right – great culture takes hard work and we are committed to having the best experience possible for the crew. Under no circumstance should you have been made to feel that your breaks were being timed, so I’m sorry for this. While we try to inject our values into the business to create a nurturing environment and to listen to the needs of our crew, we can always find ways to do more. If you have any ideas about how we can improve the culture at Finder, please contact me directly at jeremy@finder.com. Thank you again, J

Thank you for sharing your experience and for being part of the Finder team. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the strong sense of community that we deeply value here. Our people truly are what make Finder special, and we’re proud of the friendships and support networks that extend beyond the workplace. We understand and acknowledge the challenges we've faced recently. The decision to restructure was not taken lightly, but ultimately necessary for the long-term stability and growth. We remain committed to supporting our people and strengthening our culture as we move forward. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours, and thank you again for your contributions to Finder. Frank

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at Finder, we value each review that we receive. Unfortunately, we do not have a finance team based in the US which makes it challenging for us to contextualize your feedback. I would love to talk to you more offline to understand more about your experience if you would like to reach out to me. Thanks Zak Ali
