Pros

I have worked at FiftyFlowers for a year now, and am honestly blown away and saddened by some of these reviews. There are of course areas for improvement within the business, as there are with any growing company, but the blatant attacks of character that I have read on this page are shocking and, from my perspective, simply not backed in truth. I am not here to discredit anyone’s experience, as everyone obviously has a right to their own opinion, but I do feel the need to address such heavy allegations when I feel that they cannot be supported by any of my own experiences. It is my opinion that the majority of these negative reviews are fueled by gossip and pent-up frustration as a result of not communicating concerns to leadership early on. My time at FiftyFlowers has been marked by growth opportunities, mentorship, and leadership who have taught me to trust in my own skills and abilities. I have had the chance to work one-on-one with multiple department directors, and directly with the CEO, all of whom have been kind, understanding, and supportive of me. I have felt empowered to voice my ideas, concerns, and suggestions to leadership. In fact, even at my entry-level position, my input was valued and encouraged when it came to higher-level projects and structures. My supervisors and the CEO have also inquired about my personal interests on several occasions, and have adjusted my job responsibilities accordingly in order to keep me engaged and passionate about my role. Other pros include: - Flexible schedule and work from home capabilities when needed - On-the-job learning opportunities - Fresh flowers in the office on a monthly, even weekly basis - Potential travel opportunities, dependent on the position - Ability to work with a team (constant brainstorming and collaboration) - Ability to work independently (freedom to manage your own time and projects) - Opportunities for growth in terms of both position and salary - Fast-paced environment - Creativity and new ideas often encouraged If you are reading through these reviews, and are thinking about working for FiftyFlowers, I encourage you to form your own opinion before taking these other reviews to heart. You will find that with communication and a mutually built trust between you and your supervisors, it is possible to have a great experience working for this company. I was not asked to leave a positive review, just personally wanted to share my point of view.

Cons

It can feel as though some projects take longer than intended because the team is being pulled in different directions. As a result, some projects can remain "pending" for periods of time. Overall, there is still some work to be done when it comes to strengthening communication and organization. These concerns have been communicated openly amongst the team, and there are current efforts underway that will enable the company to grow in these areas. I do not feel that there is anyone to "blame" for these areas of improvement, and from my perspective, everyone is willing to work together to make things run more smoothly and efficiently.

Pros

Fantastic work/life balance. I have never, ever felt like I needed to work extra (although I have on my own accord), worried about getting time off, or asking for accommodations during busy times. We are encouraged to put our mental health first, and make sure that before anything else, that we are fulfilled and happy as humans. Yes, we're expected to perform, but in a completely reasonable and achievable way. Despite earlier reviews that I have read here, I have ALWAYS appreciated the open-door policy from management, and have never felt hesitant to speak to them about what's going on, whether in my professional or my private life. I GENUINELY feel as if they care, and aren't just doing what they need to do to retain me as an employee. I can say that after three years with the company, there is not an ounce of me that is considering making a move elsewhere, despite consistent offers from other companies. If you're motivated & skilled in your field, you'll do well here.

Cons

Honestly, I'm really happy here after 3 years. Any "con" that I can give would be less about the company itself, and more about the challenges of conducting business in a rapidly-changing tech environment, where you have to truly be agile and up-to-date with the ever changing best practices in our new AI-focused global environment. This requires a constant mind-state of innovation and perhaps ambiguity at times, so you can't expect to get "cozy" and just show up...but again, that's the state of the industry, not the company...and to be frank, I wouldn't really want to work at a company where you are allowed to stay stagnant in your knowledge and capability.

Pros

Floral industry is fast paced and lots of pivots. Very understanding of family first if you also get your job done. Lots of opportunities to grow if you work towards it, it’s not given it is earned. Very forward thinking and innovative, especially with tech development.

Cons

Floral industry is a hard industry to learn. It’s not a cookie cutter industry. Similar to restaurant and food industry. You have to be willing to get in and learn and understand before doing.
