The application process with HR was initially pleasant. However, my impression changed once I visited the office and had the opportunity to meet the technology department. It became very clear to me that diversity and inclusion do not appear to play a visible role there. The environment felt very homogeneous, and as someone with a migrant background, I immediately felt that I did not belong.
During my visit, I quickly realized that this was not an environment where I would want to work. For that reason, I would especially like to share my personal experience with applicants from international or migrant backgrounds: take a close look at the company culture before investing significant time in the recruitment process.
Had I come across a review like this before applying, I probably would have saved myself the effort. Of course, this is only my personal impression, but after my visit, it was clear to me that this company does not embody the diversity and inclusion that I expect from a modern employer.

Der Bewerbungsprozess mit HR war zunächst angenehm. Mein Eindruck änderte sich jedoch, als ich vor Ort war und die Technologieabteilung kennenlernen konnte. Dort wurde für mich sehr deutlich, dass Diversität und Inklusion keine sichtbare Rolle spielen. Das Umfeld wirkte auf mich sehr homogen, und als Person mit Migrationshintergrund hatte ich sofort das Gefühl, nicht dazuzugehören. Bereits während meines Besuchs war mir klar, dass ich in diesem Umfeld nicht arbeiten möchte. Deshalb möchte ich insbesondere Bewerberinnen und Bewerbern mit internationalem oder migrantischem Hintergrund meine persönliche Erfahrung mitgeben: Schaut euch die Unternehmenskultur genau an, bevor ihr viel Zeit in den Bewerbungsprozess investiert. Hätte ich einen solchen Hinweis vor meiner Bewerbung gelesen, hätte ich mir den Aufwand wahrscheinlich erspart. Natürlich ist das mein persönlicher Eindruck, aber für mich war nach dem Besuch vor Ort klar, dass dieses Unternehmen nicht für die Vielfalt und Inklusion steht, die ich von einem modernen Arbeitgeber erwarte.
