Pros
-Great retirement benefits -laid back environment ( my business unit no longer has a dress code ) -great set up ( 2x 24" monitors for everyone ) -other benefits are really great (maternity/paternity leave was increased, tuition reimbursement, college loan help)
Cons
-pay, team quality, manager quality, and the projects you work on differ enormously between business units and groups within those units -too many managers with little to no technical experience making technical decisions (my boss still thinks git and github are the same thing) -managers seem to make decisions that please everyone vs making the right decision -hiring process was terrible, my technical interview consisted of the following questions: 1) is javascript a subset of java? 2) how would you write an SQL query. 3) what is a class? * this sounds awesome until you realize how dumb you could be and still get hired if this is all the knowledge you need
