Pros
Employees are entrusted to complete work in timely manner, therefore there is little overshadowing from management. Depending on level of initiative, there are options for employees to take on additional work. The benefits packages is actually pretty good considering it is a privately owned business.
Cons
Periodic work reviews are virtually non-existent and will only take place if the employee requests for one. As such, opportunities for salary re-negotiations are also extremely rare. There are no year-end bonus’ which many other employers offer. The pay is rather low in comparison to competition. There is a dire lack of structure within the company, ie. staff from the same department completing the same work according to completely different templates. Communication between coworkers and departments is poor to non-existent, which is evident during jobs. Within the company there are very few opportunities of growth. Majority of staff have never been promoted, even though they may have 15+ years of experience at FNG under their belt. Management would prefer to hire externally as opposed to promote within. Standard business practices are extremely outdated and there little motivation to create more efficient work environment.
