Pros

-Pension, 401K match, bonus, floating holiday, -In office cafe and gym, -Beautiful office buildings. -Doing great financially. -Fun team activities, - Visible and easy to approach executives. -Diversity is improving -My dept is pretty understanding when needing to work remotely due to weather or other issues.

Cons

- No remote/hybrid oprions - Performance reviews based on budget (learned many new processes and an entire position of another dept still just received a Successful performance 3% raise. Makes it not worth the effort) -Promotions/Transfers - -Management already decides who will get a position but still wastes time posting the availabilty of the position. (Been on both sides here) Work- You will do other team's work but be paid much less than the people who should be doing that specific task. Stuck in the 1980s-90s - get used to the term "that's how we have always done it"

Pros

Hands down, the best employment culture of any company I’ve worked for in my 25+ years practicing law. Federated is a true rarity - a company that genuinely lives its corporate values every day, in decisions both large and small. Leadership listens to employees with curiosity and a willingness to improve, not defensiveness or indifference. There’s a common refrain that if a company takes care of its employees, those employees will, in turn, take care of customers. I’ve never seen that philosophy embraced or executed as successfully as it is at Federated. Success is recognized and rewarded, teamwork - or “interdependence,” as we call it - is the norm, and challenges or setbacks are treated as opportunities for constructive feedback and growth. And that’s before even mentioning the outstanding compensation and benefits. I recommend Federated wholeheartedly and without reservation to friends and family.

Cons

Business formal dress code for more senior positions may be a bit antiquated.
