Pros

Fedex freight is very flexible when it come time away for work to attend to your personal life. you have some good days where you may have a short day or night and you have some bad day and night where you may work 14 hours. but for the most part if you can balance work and family life. 401k is ok. they match 3.5% if you do a minimum of 6%. They also give you PTO and Vacation time. they offer you a lot of discount on everything you could think of. and the pay is very good. $28.83 per hour and .68 cent per mile after you reach top pay which takes about 3 Years.

Cons

Working at night if you are new as a road driver, and some city drivers have to work at night when they are new. the pension plan the offer sucks. the are not union, so your job is not protected. they want drivers to often work on the dock to help with the loading and unloading of freight. They alway increase employees insurance rates after they give the employees a pay increase. they often like to micro manage employees on the clock and try to keep Overtime to a minimum.

Pros

- Insurance benefits are offered to part time employees - Pay is sufficient based on being part time - Management will send some communications regarding big picture matters - There is some leniency regarding calling out of work

Cons

- The requirement to maintain insurance is becoming more difficult - Employees are not paid the same rate simply based on tenor rather than qualifications - Management will rarely, if ever, address direct employee concerns - Leniency for calling out only seems to apply for certain employees - There is no standard of training or written expectations readily available once hired
