Cons
The company is enormous and it's daunting to understand the org chart. Your experience is heavily dependent upon your team director. As a new employee, I had a wonderful director that helped me feel supported. In a department I was later moved to, my director was extremely hands off and I felt completely lost. The use of acronyms and corporate jargon is out of control. It's almost like these people speak a different language. You really have to buy into the "Purple Promise" to be successful - institutional knowledge is how you'll be able to move up. I had people in other departments purposefully derail my work, seems counterproductive to the company mission, be prepared to play politics.
