Pros

-Fun + different job experience -Seminars(Paid+usually get goodies!) -It’s apparently really really hard to get fired.

Cons

-Corporate sucks -Hired under guise that the company is small + locally owned, but corporate has their thumb on everything -Was told that there was insurance for employees working over 35 hours/week, was promised 38+ hours/week, was really scheduled 20-26 hours/week -Was told that there was no dress code, dress code ended up being conservative business casual, immediately got stupid tshirts that have a MAGA play on words on the back -Corporate and HR and managers work for The Man, not the employee. If you are being threatened or harassed by an employee or customer, THEY WILL NOT CARE. -They keep you at just enough hours so you don’t qualify for any benefits -Unless you work for a location that Daddy Corporate likes, you will be publicly shamed in the morning work email even if the sales/ADS issues aren’t your fault! -Keyholders work alone for 8 hours and if you need to go to the bathroom, pray to god that corporate isn’t playing Big Brother and checking the cameras to see that you put a sign up to run to the bathroom for 5 mins. -No protection or support in case of emergency(power outage, coked out customers etc.)

Pros

Lots of development opportunities Standard retail scheduling/hours Access to communicate with teams across departments

Cons

Not a very large company, combined with post covid sales drops means salary budgets can be tight.

Pros

This is such a rewarding industry to work in and the company makes a good effort to ensure staff are knowledgeable and trained. I also loooved having the opportunity to attend trainings/demos with product suppliers.

Cons

Upper management willfully and callously overloads managers. I have never been stretched so thin in any other job.
