Long hours over a short work week, swing or overnight shifts were the normal and there was required overtime every few Sundays. There was a definite lack of respect for the people doing the actual labor, from both management and sales. Despite putting in an honest effort, I had been told (to my face by my manager) that we were all replaceable, and if I didn't "want" to do my job, they could get someone who did. Theft, laziness and drug problems among my co-workers seemed to be a normal part of working there.
