...These people usually have their dedication slowly beat out of them. The company lacks BASIC workflow processes and no one in management seems to care enough to create them. Those who have garnered the favouritism from the (very unfriendly) CEO will be given comfy offices and a seat at the table. Everyone else may as well not exist. Even if you want to create your own projects or start new initiatives, you will be shut down by certain members of the company who would rather shoot down new ideas than offer any of their own.
Not to mention that the entire business model is completely flawed and possibly unethical. Customer service is the last priority of the company and if you work in any of the front facing jobs of the company (i.e. merchant services, customer service, brand success, etc.), you'll probably be spending most of your time trying to solve problems that could be avoided if management cared about making an actual product, i.e. the platform.
Also, HR/leadership send some of the most infuriatingly condescending emails to the entire company. Get some emotional intelligence. Your employees are not children.
Overall, company culture has really gone down hill. Employees used to enjoy perks, like Uber rides home, dinner (if they stayed late), lots of snacks and, OH, actual cross-departmental/all-hands meetings. Now it seems that management is too young, inexperienced and incompetent to even schedule company-wide meetings, let alone actually improving and growing the company's business.
