Pros
Fast-paced (if you love that environment) and lots of exciting collaborations and work to be done. Decent benefits and it's remote.
Cons
It is fairly regular for talent managers (and upper management) to talk unprofessionally (as in ridicule, mock, etc.) regarding the influencers and even some of the brands. If the influencers knew how the managers talk about them behind their back, they would likely choose to not be represented by this agency. Additionally, they love to micro-manage and avoid clear communication when providing feedback. As a result, you're usually stuck playing a guessing game (which they also hate), but they'll never tell you outright. You're also likely to fall behind on work, because they give you lots of work. However, they don't actually let you do said work, because the lovely President is always dragging you into pointless calls randomly to play 20 questions and complain about the 1 thing she didn't like. Also, she has this lovely habit of taking a thing you said and twisting it to create tension / distrust within your own peers. However, the President is a huge fan if you're a suck-up (so maybe apply if you like that aspect) and bases your opportunities based on how much you brown-nose.... instead of you know, your actual work. Everyone will act nice to your face but will lie to you to set you up for failure. You're also punished for having a family outside of work (ironic considering that it's a family-based influencer agency). The idea that there's work-life balance is laughable, because there is generally pressure for you to stay on past working hours. It has happened regularly where I am asked to deal with something past 5pm, and it's by the President herself! Another aspect of the job that's a red flag is that while they focus on being "diverse and inclusive", they don't do a terribly great job of vetting influencers they work with as they care more about how well the influencer does for them financially. As a result, they have been known to represent many family influencers that have a reputation of racism, discriminatory views, and even, exploiting their children. Obviously, not ALL of the influencers, but it happens far too often that they've had to drop certain influencers for problematic behavior.
