Pros
ESOP is a tremendous retirement benefit. Second to non, and the best benefit to the employees. Co-workers are some of the most talented and hard working people you'll find. A/V Industry is doing well, and has a lot of room to grow. Company is growing at a very fast pace.
Cons
Management created an a somewhat negative culture by injecting a lot of intensity and constant urgency laced with vague threats and negativity in the day to day. Company is very top-heavy. They have a lot of executives, directors and other higher ups, but run front-line teams with skeleton crews. This makes it very difficult to keep the promises made to customers at times. Very difficult to get a raise -there is no COLA or annual merit increase. You have a build a business case for yourself and pitch it to managers, selling yourself on what you're doing today that you didn't do yesterday. In other words, why are you move valuable. They use the ESOP benefit to undercut base-pay and other benefit offerings. While the ESOP is a tremendous benefit, regular pay checks are less than what they could be elsewhere, and other benefits are mediocre.
