Pros
-Some really intelligent people work here -Innovative -Dynamic and ever-changing environment
Cons
-The intelligent few get put on every project, and multiple projects to boot. On top of that, these people are expected to do their day job which then becomes the night and weekend job which results to burnout. It’s an expectation and definitely not appreciated. -Definite favoritism and power play amongst management team -Performance review and goal setting is a joke -Upper management and executive team have no idea who the employees are that drive the business, only those who are in their faces and kissing up -Once you excel in one area/department it’s almost impossible to escape it and move to another role or area -The work life balance is awful in some departments -Backstabbing, gossip and politics are comical and can usually be narrowed down to one department which should be the department cultivating a culture quite different -The pay and bonus structure stinks unless you’re a VP or above, or are a favorite that’s been protected. If you question pay, there’s an million excuses as to why you’re underpaid even when you have more responsibilities or a larger team than your peers. -Dress code is a joke, I’ve had vendors/clients make comments like “Wow, is that allowed?” on office visits. -Snakes are everywhere and trust no one, confiding in HR will only get you in more trouble and repercussions will ensue.
