You will be overworked and be put into different roles and expected to help out more than you're realistically capable of. Pay is not competitive to other places and benefits are minimal. Expect to be on-call and always be open to respond to any emergencies or crises.
Loved my team and the growth I had within my classroom. It was wonderful to be able to serve the children of the county that would otherwise have no support or services.
Cons
Shut down our program and pulled all services from the county and said it was due to the lack of billable hours. We have a full client load in our classroom at this time. They gave us a 30 day notice that we lost our jobs and our children lost all their services.
