Pros

If you have the right management, there is room for growth. Benefits are very good. Pension, 401k, FSA, DCA, Health, Vision, Dental, Wellness Credits, etc. Time off is generous. Flexible Schedule. These things help make having a family a little easier.

Cons

This company has been around a very long time and used to be rated highly. Over the years it has started to go downhill with now being the push to drop this company to an extreme level of low morale. New CEO is making drastic changes which impact many in the negative. Company recently announced mandatory vaccination policy with no exceptions. Exemptions were allowed but almost all were denied. The company did this with no input from employees and with hardly any reasonable amount of notice. Everyone has been remote since March 2020 and Thanksgiving week the company announced NORMAL return to the office on 1/4 (normal doesn't exist anymore) with vaccination by 12/13 or termination on 1/4, For a company that has so much diversity and inclusion, this isn't something that was expected. You can be anything you want here but just not unvaccinated. Communication was terrible through all of it. No one would put anything in writing. Everything was verbal, information was constantly changing, etc. it's been a complete disappointment from a company I thought so highly of even 1 to 2 years ago.

Pros

* Great business model at the foundation * Solid compensation program: Base salary + bonus * Sustained high profitability over the long term * Stable employement * Pension Plan

Cons

* Extremely hierarchical and regimented * Promotions based on favortism rather than true merit. Employees are precategorized and stigmatized on their ability for future career progression. * Extremely focused on metrics and internal objectives. This leads to box checking, cutting corners and bending rules to meet the numbers. * Extremely heavy workload. No work-life balance. * Management doesn't really incorporate employee feedback; they pretend to to check a box. * Quality of job suffers to keep up with quantity. Everything is becoming data driven and the data is often wrong. Enormous pressure to hit a button and accept at face value whatever the system spews out. * Our CEO builds fancy gold plated office buildings that aren't needed and pulled the plug on hybrid work to justify the investment in the real estate.
