Pros
I've worked in tech for a decade and this is the first team where I'm not actively avoiding some people. Technical excellence, commercial focus, lots of autonomy, and a real problem to solve. Serious people. Stable & simple technology choices. Genuinely diverse team. On top of that, management are supportive.
Cons
The problem domain is immense & challenging. It can be hard to get things over the line with all the details that need to be sweated, and we always have to make hard decisions. The level of autonomy and relatively horizontal culture does have trade-offs. There is plenty of leadership, but occasionally it's not obvious who to look to for certain things.
