Pros

- The mission-driven work has attracted a wealth of talented, generous, empathetic people who are a joy to collaborate with. - A union was formed last year, which seems to have had a positive impact pushing back on the company's deteriorating direction.

Cons

- Extremely poor leadership has contributed to having to lay off almost half the company in the last 6 months. Every team was already understaffed, making it a stressful environment where employees feel expendable rather than valued. - Department-level leadership has either been cut or walked out voluntarily, often without another role lined up. The CEO consistently failed to listen to that design, engineering, and product leadership. The direction feels aimless and uninformed. - Despite its stated mission, the products actual impacts on the communities they serve fall well short of what's advertised in my opinion. - Pay is significantly below market rate, and promotions and raises have been paused for many months with no clear path to growth. People are underpaid and overworked, and the mission-driven spin now feels like it is used as an excuse to take advantage of people. - The CEO fought hard against unionization - a stance that sits in direct contradiction to the values Exygy used to publicly claim to hold. - The benefits are nice, but management seems to be trying hard to walk them back.
