Pros

1. They have great healthcare benefits, 100% coverage for the whole family 2. They do have a intensive on-boarding process 3. You get a lot variety in your work. So you can learn a lot in a short time. 4. Their ability to magically add 5 star reviews after ones not so savory.

Cons

1. Product/Eng/TS are very aggressive, paranoid and unresponsive to other team's feedback. They will try hard to ignore persistent bugs and a unstable release structure. The feedback loop is taken very personally so people often fear backlash and loss of their jobs. 2. So there's no HR, which seemed cool but it is like being in high school. For a small company, everything was political, popularity-based and poor sr. management. We had new bosses every 6 months and you needed to violently fight for work/life balance. 3. Client work is mostly risk management within the platform. The product was hard to support due to unstable, weekly changes and lack of UI design. It is a troubling atmosphere when services team does the QA b/c they fired the QA team.

Genuinely appreciate the feedback. Over the past year we took this review, others, and internal feedback (via Glint) to heart, and I believe we now have a much stronger company and culture. Most notably, we transformed our support organization with new personnel, KPIs, and a manic focus on response time. We automated QA as part of our ongoing release process, and have introduced ongoing automated testing of client accounts to catch problems as soon as they happen.

Pros

Good company culture, promotes collaboration. I enjoyed working with the engineering and product teams. You'll probably work with people that you really like here. Server code is pretty well architected. The product is generally good - extremely customizable, but very technical. Pay was acceptable.

Cons

Leadership is concerning, their disagreements and resentments toward one another are not hidden from the company at all, which doesn't exactly inspire confidence. The company has been around for a long time (~10 years) and has not gone public or been sold. We seemed to be on the edge of profitability for a long time, I have no idea if there was interest from potential buyers. There was a round of layoffs in 2023 which followed months of the CEO reporting how "well" we were doing, so that came as a shock. Since the product can be so customized, we basically sold any use case we could, which lead to some highly technical customizations that frequently broke and caused a massive amount of stress to all involved.
