Interesting company weird management - Mission Planner Exolaunch Employee Review

-Excellent technical opportunities as an early career employee at satellite customer sites and launch site integrations. -Good for people who enjoy travel. Opportunity to travel to multiple countries. -Great way to build your network across a multitude of industry-leading satellite companies -Friendly and close-knit team

-Very difficult to take PTO and time off even when requesting months in advance. -Very demanding workload with personnel across multiple teams being overworked. -Significantly reduced pay by restructuring bonus system. -Reduced other benefits while company success increased (increased customers and missions) and while spending copious amounts on glamour. -Poor transparency and unclear communication with upper management -Despite raising concerns, there was little evidence that employee feedback was acknowledged or acted upon. -The company places a strong emphasis on uniform fairness, sometimes at the expense of recognizing individual contributions and impact.

Very much a startup feel despite being founded over a decade ago. Very comfortable office, very generous kitchen snacks and meals. You really get the feeling everyone loves their work here, atmosphere is always positive. Employees often stay late despite not being required to. Work hours are very flexible, company cares about tasks/results and not hours per week, which is a blessing. It's a high trust workplace & one can see the trust is well placed. Absolutely zero conflict so far.

The Cons are mostly subjective, none of these are an issue for me but may be for others more used to a more corporate workplace: Things can be a little disorganised/unstructured, it's not always clear who is responsible for what. Scope of tasks sometimes goes outside the bounds of my role. There was not a whole lot of onboarding and not a lot of oversight when I was brought in.
