I am writing this review to provide an honest assessment of my experience working at Everest Group, specifically within their IT department. I feel it's important to share my perspective for the benefit of potential future employees. While Everest Group has many positive attributes, there are notable challenges within the IT leadership team that need to be addressed. The group CIO's lack of experience and immaturity has had a noticeable impact on the overall direction of the department. This is particularly concerning given the importance of the role in shaping the company's technological future. Additionally, the senior IT leadership within the company has demonstrated an abuse of power, creating an uncomfortable and hostile work environment. It's disheartening to witness the deputy CIO and the new head of infrastructure spreading negativity wherever they go. Their public threats and belittling of team members have contributed to a decline in team morale and a loss of critical resources. One of the most concerning aspects is the lack of visibility and communication from the group CIO. His inability to speak confidently in public and the absence of any presented strategies have left the team feeling disconnected and uncertain about the company's IT direction. The culture of plagiarism that has taken hold due to the senior IT leadership's competency issues is disconcerting. It's disappointing to see a company not valuing originality and taking credit for the work of others. In conclusion, my time at Everest Group's IT department has been marked by these significant challenges. While the company may have potential, the current state of the IT leadership and work environment are serious obstacles to success. I hope that these issues are addressed promptly for the benefit of the company's future and the well-being of its employees.
