Pros
The people at the company were like one big family. You easily build relationships with your coworkers and become friends. Not like your typical office job, pretty laid back and your able to do what you want (make food/listen to music/smoke right outside the door, swear)
Cons
Where do i even start. Management is absolutely god awful. They will literally make you feel terrible about yourself after you’ve put endless hours and energy into making them money, after youve stressed yourself out beyond belief trying to make them happy. Pay is absolute garbage and benefits are worse. They reward certain departments that make them the most sales / money and put an unrealistic amount of pressure on other departments. My coworkers and I have cried numerous times at work, just from being tired and stressed and not being good enough. The people that do the labor / install the systems have drug problems and alcohol problems, often getting high and drunk on the job and hot boxing the work trucks. Lots have bad records and have gone to jail but the company doesn’t care as long as they have bodies to make them money. Homeowners will call and complain they found liquor missing or beer cans in their yard and it’s up to you to put out the fire, when realistically management does nothing about it because they need people. They are quick to let people go because you’re not making them enough money and management is very unprofessional often yelling, playing loud music, taking who they want out to lunch and having inappropriate relationships. Turnover rate is the highest i’ve ever seen in a company and often people came into work dreading the day and being pissed off. When they don’t have someone for a certain job because they quit they will make you do it with little appreciation and the same amount of pay.
