Cons
If you're an engineer with ambitions this is the worst place to be. 70% of the employees does the bare minimum, 20% manage to do negative work by pretending to work and end up producing rubbish that needs to be fixed by the last 10%, those few individuals that end up working for 3. Everyone knows who that 20% is, they dont even try to hide anymore. They are protected by the system and the #1 objective of contractors is to cover for them. When openly proven with actual data and evidence, people are gaslighted and mansplained. This is not a single event, happens in every team. Good workers end up bouncing back and forth between esoc and eumetsat to avoid the same toxic dynamics, without success. The list of cons is long, but this is the worst aspect.
