Pros

I really enjoyed working with the team of talented problem-solvers. You get to be very hands-on with the technology, and there is opportunity to learn, grow, and take ownership of the work. There is camaraderie and the occasional post-work happy hour which I always appreciated.

Cons

You have high autonomy which means you sometimes have to take the initiative to ask for help or feedback. The product covers many business areas so there is a steep learning curve, and documentation is a little behind the product.

Pros

* Innovation and effort is recognized, praised and rewarded by the CEO. Improvements to the company's products, successful client implementations and ambition will get you noticed and ensure your growth within the company. * CEO is the kind of leader and communicator you want. He plays to people's talents, and empowers you with training and opportunities to do what you do best. He includes junior staff in decision-making and encourages new ideas and opinions. * Great office culture and gender/age/background-diverse workforce. Analysts are collaborative, friendly, and committed to helping each other succeed. * HR cares about you as a person - you're not a cog in the machine. * A+ equipment and office facilities to ensure your success, well-being and happiness (onsite gym, stand-up desks, rooftop access, Friday happy hour). Dell XPS laptops will make you toss your previous laptops out the window.

Cons

* Steep learning curve: the company's signature product has a lot of features. Years into the job, I'm still learning. That said, training and development opportunities are endless - new (and seasoned) employees would do well to take advantage of them. * As with many client-service consulting jobs, implementations are time-sensitive. Client requirements and time/budget constraints means you need to create a working solution, not the Mona Lisa.
