Pros

Benefits are good but paid for monthly 18 days vacation to start Salary is good Location is easy to get to by car, free parking Ehealth program is supported by many employees Open concept office space and hydraulic standing desks for all Some flexibility and work from home, depending on which team you are on Developers work all hours and are typically on site from 10am to 4pm Free coffee and tea

Cons

I was recruited and misled about a number of things. The recruiter told me benefits were free and refused to provide details of coverage. Found out during onboarding that was not the case. The role described during the interview to lure me away from my fulltime job was not the role I ended up doing. No explanation was ever provided. Paid meal breaks were not provided for an 8 hr work day. Product training was non-existent, my questions were never addressed. There seemed to be a general lack of knowledge on the manager's part. I was isolated from project and product management, making my tasks difficult. Culture seems odd, people reported having personal items disappear from their desks, this was ignored by management. Management has a habit of gossiping about employees in a negative manner. Too many other problems to list here, if you accept a role ensure the offer is reviewed by a lawyer as many clauses violate the ESA in Ontario. Was warned by my lawyer to turn the offer down but I had high hopes for a once greatly admired brand.

Pros

-Technological superior to most other companies with use of AI and promising future tech/programs -benefits and pay are very competetive -room for professional growth and advancement if you know how to work in a corporate environment -resume development and professional advancement

Cons

-leadership ideology doesnt match the company/CEOs mission statement or belief (company is said to be all for safety yet leaders get put in charge and quickly dismantle and lay off 3 quarters of the safety department) -Leadership changes structure to benefit themselves by having all support functions report to them instead of the CEO, this ensures all support functions take a back seat to production and financial gain to include their employees well being -Company restructured and reorganizes very often while showing no loyalty to the employees who work hard and want to stay, this leads to turn over of great employees.
