No one knows how to run a project. There's way too much focus on extremely mundane aspects of project reporting, which in itself would be fine if it didn't take up an inordinate amount of time and produce 0 results. For all that bluster, I never saw one project brought in on time or under budget. The so-called project managers are more concerned with prostrating themselves before senior management than anything approaching effective management or even delegation. Meanwhile half of senior management has its head in the clouds worrying about polygons and search queries while the other half is an absentee landlord at best. This kind of thing might work on college grads, but anyone with 6 months real work experience will see right through this shim sham. Also, did I say there's no accountability? Because there isn't. I felt actual physical pain when I thought about how poorly we were serving our clients. I just hope anyone looking to invest performs a thorough independent audit, not only financially, but as to actual business processes. This place is a kindergarten run by children.
