Pros

Good company and people to work for/with. The owner genuinely cares about his employees. They have a good work environment and a nice building.

Cons

As an employee the only downside to working at Tom Rowe and Associates was not having health insurance and retirement benefits.

Pros

The company pays for lunch on Fridays and believe me this is the only pro.

Cons

Equipment Locator is a sinking ship put in such a position by it's two owners. The owners of this company refuse to move on from dated web practices and go on to blame their employees and even their clients for lack of growth and success. The owner seems more interested in disrupting your work day rather then helping you succeed. Equipment Locator does not offer health benefits or sick days, if you are sick get ready to dip into your vacation time. Holiday time off is a mystery till the day before so making plans is close to impossible. What really makes Equipment Locator the worst company I've worked for is the owners bring religion and prayer into the work place; from bringing up your religion at the interview to having designated days where the office is asked to meet for religious discussion and prayer. Although technically voluntary if you do not attend these "meetings" get ready to discuss your religious position with the owner.

Pros

I enjoyed working in a small office and knowing all the employees, most of whom were very nice and easy to work with. The pay was decent, but you get no benefits.

Cons

There are many. Owner is not very open to new ideas and isn't easy to reason with, very inflexible. The company offers no health or retirement benefits. It also didn't offer any sick time. I also feel I should note that the owner is very religious. He asked about my religion during the interview. There is a daily morning prayer and prayer is expected at meals. This can make for an awkward atmosphere for some people, so I think it's worth mentioning.

We treat all employees with respect and fairness. We do not require attendance or participation in any employee gathering that might have a religious benefit for employees. All employees are invited by owner or management to a free lunch every week at a restaurant where giving thanks is observed; attendance is not mandatory if it makes you feel awkward.
