Pros
Office environment is very modern: The space itself is beautiful and has a clean aesthetic - provides a nice space to work in, and the open office design fosters relationship building among all employees, regardless of title.
Upper management dedicated to flat structure: This is probably the most special quality of Epsilon Economics as a firm. The firm is extremely unique at the upper levels in that MDs truly believe in collaboration at all levels, respecting the opinions of everyone, including new analysts.
Small size: Allows for close relationships between everyone at the firm, creating opportunities for growth and firm development for anyone who wants to contribute. Also helps on the client-facing side in that clients get familiar with the whole team on a project, fostering repeat business and trust in the Epsilon Economics name.
Employees are cerebral, sharp, and kind. This is a group of extremely intelligent consultants who aren't overtly competitive or selfish.
Cons
Small size means less structure, very few formal systems in place for everything from case-load allocation to what the firm values in its employees (what skills or character traits are valued and rewarded by the firm). Small size also leads to very apparent favoritism, which fosters disgruntlement and can be demotivating.
