Pros
ability to WFH. Although I was questioned about this , despite having a very serious reason to remain WFH that was agreed with HR and communicated to team's management. It was invented as an extra excuse to be unfairly disciplined.
Cons
1) Insane micro management, very intrusive , 2)Terrible management and people skills. Manager transferring their extreme anxiety onto subordinates. I and others suffered mental health issues and had them exacerbated greatly and unnecessarily here. Manager asking team members about work when they are sick at home in bed. Same manager invading people personal space and screens without even asking. Talking down to lower ranked employees and correcting their first language when it is their second. disgraceful behaviour and abuse of power in summary. 3) Hypocrisy - big company wide meetings that talked about topics like disability and accommodating in the workplace and highly liberal political subjects, but these were mostly for sure virtue signaling as far as the in practice evidence showed. Especially on the former from my own and others experience. Same manager preaching about "taking responsibility for one's work and deadlines" and then saying "lets not point the finger, we are a team" when something is evidently their own fault. 4) higher up managers not watching how their subordinate manager's run their team clearly. very poor when this is part of their job and ignored at the expense of those lower down. 5). Plenty Overtime and stress that is not really compensated for and base salary not competitive for the market at all.
