Pros

Entrata has some of the best people in the world working here. I really enjoy all of my coworkers and others that I work with across all other departments. The remote work setup has been great and really allows for more flexibility in work/life balances. We make some truly great products that are making a difference in our industry. Entrata is good about culture and planning fun things throughout the year that we can do with our families.

Cons

The last couple years at Entrata have been interesting. When founder Dave Bateman stepped down as CEO, he remained on the board and hand-picked his replacement. His replacement has spent most of the last 18 months hiring his friends (primarily white males) to fill many key executive leadership roles despite there being highly qualified and diverse internal candidates that shouldve been more seriously considered. Mr. Bateman was forced to step away from the company earlier this year as a result of an email controversy. It was refreshing to see leadership respond quickly to what was a terrible situation and they deserve credit for handling the situation well. But it was also frustrating to watch because the leadership here at Entrata has been aware of his controversial behavior for many years leading up to the email incident but none of them chose to act on this knowledge until their hand was forced due to the fallout and public pressure from the media and industry following the email controversy. So while it was good to see the response, many of us feel strongly that because they knew he was problematic they shouldve worked proactively to remove him long before he did so much damage to the company and the brand. Another unfortunate trend here over the last couple years is the amount of key leaders leaving around the organization (some of them under mysterious circumstances.) Since the new leadership team has been in place we have been losing lots of important people such as an svp of product, our head of marketing, our cto, and our cpo as well as others which is really unfortunate because they were valuable members of the team and culture here at Entrata. In conclusion the company seems to be in a decent place despite some troubling trends. I’m hoping the new leadership will be able to listen to the people because many of us have given alot to Entrata and want to see it succeed.

Pros

I have a pretty good group of team members. My mid-level supervisor is also easy to work with and supportive.

Cons

Entrata does not care about their employees, or even their products/services. This is made clear by insane workloads, exhausting meetings with escalated clients, and a “standard” 3% (if you are exceeding expectations and lucky) raise. I do moderately technical work that requires a decent amount of experience, as well as a client facing and internal leadership role, and I don’t make what is considered a “living wage” in Utah, even after years of working here. Execs seem to be having a great time partying at Summit with the most expensive celebrities they can book (Seinfeld, James Cordon, Tom Brady, Weezer…) but absolutely do not care about the uninvited staff who are working to support their client retention and their low-bar concept of product integrity.
