Pros
• Company Overall: Absolutely amazing company to work for because it has a unique team dynamic where everyone is there to help everyone succeed! • Environment: Working environment is business casual (you can wear jeans), and every effort has been made to improve the working environment from state-of-the-art equipment to assist in your job function, to Fresh Fruit Fridays where fruit is provided for all staff to enjoy EVERY FRIDAY! • Pay: Paid every Friday. Friday's are fun at England Logistics. I felt that the pay was competitive, and offered plenty of opportunity to enhance it with productivity. • Training: Comprehensive training, lead by top training professionals who are experienced in engaging the class, and sharing knowledge about the company and various roles. • People: It's like a family, they joke, they laugh, and have fun producing in their various roles. If you could create a perfect team, I think this one comes pretty close. • Management: My manager was great! There's a difference between micro-managing, and accountability. Micro-managing comes from a position of thinking your employees are incompetent, and won't do well unless you pressure them. Accountability comes from the position of recognizing employee strengths, and encouraging them to use their own unique abilities in achieving goals. I never felt pressured, or uncomfortable here, I always felt I could confide in my manager about any problems I was having, and he'd help me to overcome it, and win. And mine was no exception, all of the managers are happy to help anyone from any team, and they motivate through encouragement and logical goals, not micro-managing. • Opportunities: A lot of the opportunities available do not require someone leaving to open up a spot for you, you can grow within your own role simply by performing, and all of the tools necessary are provided to that end. EL knows that when you grow, the company does better too, so growth is strongly encouraged, and made available easily. • CEO: I only met the CEO once, and it was brief, during an intro meeting in training, but my impression is that he is genuinely motivated to create a top place to work, he cares about the people there, and is approachable and friendly. I like him.
Cons
• Reviews: I don't know where some of the negative reviews were coming from, but maybe the company was going through some growing pains before I was on-boarded. My experience has been a positive one. • Education: This one is both positive/negative. In my particular case, I haven't yet earned my bachelor's, so I couldn't get into the Account Manager position, but on the other hand, if you're a degree'd professional, you have less competition to get into a stronger position like that one.
