Redneck culture in places. There is opposition to any open GLBT discussion. Very strong GOSSIP circles with a few chatty Cathy/Chad types ruling the roost. Unfortunately, HR is a strong part of that which means there is often inappropriate sharing of personal info. Some arrogance in the upper mgt. (although I believe that is somewhat universal in corporate world.)
