Pros

Great coworkers for the most part, though some will turn on you and question your competence for simple mistakes that anyone can make. Hard working technicians. Errors are tolerated depending on who made the error; if it's one of the long-term employees, it's fine, even if the error reached the patient. If the error was made by a new person, it's not ok, despite that the error was due to lack of training in the department. Continually striving to have front-line pharmacists learn more every day.

Cons

Must pay for parking. Many layers of management in the department; not sure who does what as far as management goes. In fact, the managers aren't quite sure what their roles are, either. Pharmacist roles are dependent on education and years of residency vs. knowledge. Competency tests do not measure the way processes are actually performed in the facility.

Pros

Pay and benefits are good

Cons

Leadership needs significant improvement. Promotions often appear to be based more on personal relationships than on experience, qualifications, or selecting the best candidate for the position. Leadership also fails to adequately address bullying and toxic workplace behavior, allowing it to continue unchecked. As a result, many locations feel disorganized and chaotic due to inconsistent leadership, poor communication, and a lack of accountability.
