Pros
I enjoy the people I work with at my location, I genuinely think everyone is passionate about helping people and I think they are good at what they do.
Cons
The corporate aspect of my location is a mess, it is constant change of huge systems that is not thought out or rolled out with proper timing or training. Work is piled on and piled on, no boundaries or work life balance. There seems to be many higher ups that have absolutely no idea what working in a residential treatment setting is like and many who are very disconnected with the most relevant therapeutic practices. I do the best I can for my team and clients but we are constantly asked to do more and more micromanaged tasks for corporate that keeps up from doing what we do best. Furthermore, the constant changes makes it impossible to keep up and stay consistent for employees and clients. Census and the bottom line is mentioned constantly making it difficult to stay committed to the client.
