Pros

The company has a great mission, and you can tell the employees really care about the impact they are making in the sustainability space

Cons

The company culture has deteriorated rapidly over the second half of the year, especially since the cofounder took over CEO responsibilities. The cofounder is rude and uses his position to publicly reprimand employees, all while hiding it under the guise of his “passion” for the cause. The path forward for the company has also never been tangibly laid out to the team, and there are no quantitative goals on an individual, team, or company level.

Pros

The people here are pretty amazing. Smart, motivated, and always willing to help. It’s a friendly, collaborative environment where you actually enjoy coming to work. Leadership has an open-door policy and they take the time to listen, which makes you feel valued and supported. The onboarding process was great, and I’ve continued to learn so much since joining. There’s room for growth, whether you want to move up, or explore a different opportunity. For a small business, the company offers pretty good pay and benefits, and personally my favorite part is that I'm working on projects that make a positive impact in the world.

Cons

Elevate is leading in a fast-growing and innovative space, and things move quickly, but our leadership team does a pretty good job of adapting and keeping everyone informed and focused.

Pros

Nice team and great product

Cons

While the team itself is kind and supportive, the overall work environment is extremely difficult due to the CEO’s leadership style. The company struggles with serious organizational issues and inefficiencies that directly affect clients, projects are often delayed or mishandled because systems are poorly managed and constant rework is required. The main problem is that the CEO refuses to let anyone improve things. He micromanages every process, dismisses suggestions, and often undermines employees’ efforts. Instead of empowering the team, he tends to belittle people and second-guess their work, which creates an atmosphere of fear and frustration. Feedback is rarely constructive, and conversations frequently turn critical or demeaning. While the mission of the company is meaningful and the staff genuinely care about their work, the lack of trust, respect, and organization from the top makes it nearly impossible to succeed or grow professionally. Unless leadership changes its approach, I wouldn’t recommend working here.
