Pros
- You work in crypto, sort of…You wouldn't really know as most employees don't have any interest or knowledge of cryptocurrencies. Not a requirement, but would definitely help in this industry
- The blockchain developers are very good at what they do and have done some amazing work
- You can work remotely
Cons
- The product is dead. No one knows what to use it for, and there’s no advantages or benefits for using ETN over any other coins. If anything, it’s more inconvenient than fiat. Users are not ‘hodling’ on purpose, they are stuck with it.
- Most employees are incompetent at their jobs or have no experience in what they are meant to do. This breeds a trial and error based approach and I saw so much money wasted on pointless things that were never going to work, but the inexperienced seniors 'knew best'
- no career opportunities to progress or move to senior. One job ad actually said on it "we want a code monkey"
- Customers are treated like rubbish - look at any tweet, FB post or the reddit board to see what I mean. Some people have big sums of money locked in accounts and it’s really sad to see. The communication to customers is horrible to say the least.
- A big group of employees did a study on company culture only for all the outcome ideas to be bluntly refused by the management which was pretty insulting.
- I had to deal with personal bereavement during my time employed, and management did as little as possible to support me, it was disgusting. HR is non-existent and never checks up on employees' well being.
- My time at ETN feels like 2+ years wasted - to me the company is the most unprofessional, secretive, unsupportive place I have worked at. Avoid at all costs.
