Pros

Great flexibility Very relaxed WFH opportunities as long as you get your work done. Some employees work remotely from other cities. Good pay considering the below-average COL for the area Less stressed compared to my peers at other firms in larger DFW area Well known firm in Abilene, so strong career opportunities within Abilene area.

Cons

Lower total comp, but mostly made up for by lower COL in Abilene. Lax WFH opportunity more than makes up for the rest, especially considering RTO mandates elsewhere. Outside of Abilene, career opportunities may not be as strong because EB is perhaps less known than other firms nationally, especially in the south.

Having a strong culture and opportunities to grow are things we care deeply about, and we are happy to see that reflected in your experience. We also know that recent changes, including the move to private equity, can create some uncertainty. Our focus on culture, leadership, and how we work together day to day remains consistent, and we’re continuing to focus on communication and supporting our teams as we move forward. Thanks for sharing your perspective and for everything you contribute to the firm.

Pros

Good amount of holidays and PTO. Lifestyle spending account and remote work were great.

Cons

In an attempt to get me to leave, little by little, my job duties were taken over by others in the department. Partners let this happen and did nothing to help me. Eventually, they eliminated my role. I documented multiple instances where the work environment was incredibly toxic but no one cared. HR never even contacted me for an exit interview. My experience was that if you did not fit into the boys club you would not succeed. There was a culture of micro-aggressions, cruelty, and badmouthing others when they weren't in the room and excluding anyone who did not fit their views.
