Pros
Edwards Lifesciences is generally a good company with good benefits. The people for the most part are pleasant. Microsoft teams. Decent place to start your career, but I wouldn't stay.
Cons
Overworked running way to lean (draper facility specifically). Being a quality engineer absolutely sucks - everyone wants to do R&D and they don't have that in the draper site (and no, the metals group is not R&D. Maybe process development at best). Management isn't great, but especially on the quality side. Full of technical-only people and not good with people development. Tons of engineers and even some managers have left from the start to end of covid and it's because promotions are slow, work load too high, and the work is incredibly boring. Moved on from quality and I'm shocked how much more interesting an engineering job can be. Surprised how Edwards draper has so much talent, but they struggle to retain it because the work is dry and uninteresting and everyone is just hoping they can roll into R&D or the very limited management positions. Training is weak.
