Pros

I believe the change in Human Resources is good and the Marketing, IT and payroll departments are very helpful and pleasant.

Cons

I have worked for Edgewood many years and each year has been downward spiral. The CEO has checked out and she is allowing sinister and cut throat people to run the company. The corporate culture is toxic and exclusive and it is like working for two different companies. It is abundantly clear that site level employees are the help and that the corporate level is the elite. For example the corporate office will close early for holidays and bad weather but the site level employees still have to work. The corporate office will have a holiday party but the site level employees are not invited to attend. The corporate office will have owner events and only senior level employees are invited but property mangers are not invited but they are the ones running the properties and making everyone money. The accounting department is also overworked and rude because of it, and the compliance department is harsh, belittling and treats site level employees like they are criminals. I believe the change in Human Resources is good but they must leave the corporate office and see what is really happening on these properties. That is the only way they will get a candid report of the poor treatment by Regional Managers and the stressors that overwhelm the site level staff. There are site level staff that are overworked and scared because they literally put their lives on the line at dangerous properties. There is very little concern for security and no one ever takes accountability from the corporate level. Sadly, it will come to a serious injury or death of an employee before the matter will be taken seriously. This used to be a wonderful company but people are leaving in droves because the leadership is heartless, out of touch and cut throat. I’m not gone yet but I am moving on soon I just can’t take it anymore.

Pros

For someone coming in with no prior corporate experience they did a great job of teaching me about investment management. Work felt very meaningful and they also introduced us to many products such as the Bloomberg terminal. I was able to network and meet with a lot of great people as well as grow professionally into other areas of interest during a short time there.

Cons

Internship was only for a month, wish I could've been there longer!
