Pros
Free lunch, Half day on Fridays
Cons
Extremely understaffed. You’ll end up doing way more than what you actually signed up for. I applied to be a Visual Merchandising Assistant but somehow ended up doing every possible tedious task imaginable — steaming clothes for hours, hanging hundreds of samples, assembling furniture, returning mountains of clothes and props… the list goes on. If you’re curious about what it’s like to be a set designer, dry cleaner, retail associate, and delivery worker all at once, this is the place for you. The workload is overwhelming, and management refuses to hire more help — even when it’s clearly needed. Lunch breaks are only 30 minutes. Most days, I barely had time to finish eating, let alone brush my teeth. I was so exhausted every day from work that I barely had the energy to take care of myself.
