Pros

Current and former EcoPlan employees don't have much good to say about the company, so you at least get a warning ahead of time

Cons

Overall sketchy and bad business practices. Corners are cut due to projects being excessively underbid. Arch techs are placed on a "exempt salaried" status and do not get paid overtime, even though overtime is often required. Managment is not above lying and manipulation in order to coerce their staff into going along with poor practices, which at best are unfair to employees, and at worst are downright dangerous to their health and safety. the budget and bottom line are the most important factor for EcoPlan.

Pros

Extremely flexible hours and schedules. Ability to work from home as needed. Excellent for employees with children who need more holidays, sick days, etcetera. Pay its reasonable for mid and upper level employees, but exploitively low for lower level and temporary staff.

Cons

Office administration is absolutely terrible. Admin staff can be vindictive, rude, and controlling. Principals are not responsive to complaints or problems. The company spends no money on its equipment. Antiquated computers, phone systems, and field equipment. Lots of resistance from company management to upgrade or improve any systems. Company uses pirated software instead of paying for licenses. Company refuses to rehire temporary staff who file for unemployment. Sexual harassment allegations are ignored and buried. Discrimination against women and Native Americans is a frequent accusation. Company lies about employee owner program.
