There were an abundance of hours available.

There were many instances in which labour laws were broken. The manager position was vacant, and as such, I was acting as assistant manager for $16.25/hour. I had a shift over 20 hours due to the assistant manager's poor planning and refusal to complete inventory preparation or help complete inventory. This was directly followed by my shifts being cut for the entire upcoming week to avoid paying me overtime.

Liked the clothing and the discount

This company does not pay it's salaried employees by legal requirements. You are basically paid hourly and they call it salary.
