It’s a union shop so personnel and labor management was a thing and of course in supervisory roles, care needed to be taken so as not to overstep contractual agreement rules. This wasn’t a problem for me. Overtime is a lifestyle at that place so if you don’t consider work and home as kind of one and the same you might be miserable. This wasn’t demanded of me but in a salaried position, if you care at all about the demands of the business, it’s only right that you fit in and give some extra time for special projects. They hold a high customer service standard and quality is not a joke there.
