EVstudio does a wide variety of project types, however a large chunk of those are residential. The multifamily architecture billing index went from a high of 60 in early 2022 to several months in the low 40's in 2023 and 2024. Meaning that firms who do multi-family lost roughly 30%+ of their business in that time frame. In the same timeframe EVstudio only reduced our billings by 8%, not what we'd like, but far better than average. This was largely due to our diverse pipeline of business development. We've made major investments into diversification of project types, disciplines and locations; all with the goal of stability and growth.
Ultimately principals are people and they do vary on their strengths. Annual salary reviews in November address the compensation based on performance and by comparing it across studios.
